Equity markets saw profit taking taking today but losses were moderate aided by a rise in jobless claims and a fall in New Home Sales but investors were looking for an excuse to take some chips off the table. Over in the Bond markets, prices rose on the Fed statement that interest rates will remain low for an extended period and inflation is and will stay low. The continuing Euro debt woes also supported Bonds today. MBS rose 41bp to end the session at 103.44 and the Dow fell 22.33 points to 12,734.63. The Consumer Sentiment report and the first reading on Q4 Gross Domestic Product will be delivered tomorrow.
